Activities
The area around us is so abundant with fun things to do. Take a walk on the beach and a morning swim, explore the waterfalls near us, visit Cahuita National Park, or do a day trip to Puerto Viejo and eat at a nice restaurant . There are endless incredible activities to experience in our area and we are more than happy to make recommendations. A few of our add on excursions include: Horse back riding on the beach, chocolate tour, jaguar rescue center, surfing and snorkeling.
Arrival & Departure
To get to us its easiest to fly into San Jose. From there we normal]y arrange transport to pick up our guests in a private shuttle which will take you around 4 hours to get to us. This is included in most of our retreats. If you prefer to have other options or you've booked with us on air b&b, you have two options. You can either take a bus from the MEPE terminal at downtown San Jose, this is about $13 USD, they only take cash. You'll need to buy a ticket to Cahuita, this is the stop you'll get off. The other option is to take a small plane from San Jose airport to Limon and have us arrange to pick you up from there. The flight is around $110USD with Sansa airlines, and 45 minutes long. If you have the extra cash, we highly recommend this option as it's much faster and you only need to walk 2 minutes from where you come out at San Jose airport to get to the domestic terminal. In our retreats we work with a local organic farm to supply farm to table meals and support the farmers in our area. We have an incredible chef during our retreats because we know how important it is to feed your body and spirit with good food. If you are staying with us between our retreats, there are a variety of great spots to eat in Cahuita, and a couple of restaurants within closer walking distance.
